Tiny Town

Aria and Jackson check out one of the schools.

Patrick was mostly happy in the stroller.

I was amazed at the attention to detail in this tiny greenhouse/florist!

Another school, this one with a playground attached.

One of the many churches.

Patrick had a little snack while we waited for our group to catch up.

This one was big enough to enter.

Aria peeking out of the window.

The miniature train we rode on in the rain.

Our playgroup met at Tiny Town, the first time I've been. The kids had a great time checking out the 1/6 scaled buildings, and then the larger ones they could go inside. There was a great playground, and of course we couldn't pass up the train! It was threatening rain when we arrived, but it only sprinkled a little as we rode the train. Aria and Jackson huddled under the space blanket I produced from my bottomless tote bag, while Michelle and I held Patrick in the next seat up. They had so much fun under the shiny, crinkly blanket, they just had to keep it out at lunch, too. I felt a little like Michelle Pfeiffer in One Fine Day--super prepared (gotta take those moments when you can)! The lunch counter was more like a fried snack stand, and we were glad we'd brought our own. However, since the sun had come out, we did splurge on ice cream cones for dessert. :) Tiny Town has so much to see and do, and the prices weren't bad, so I'd say it's worth the drive up. We sure had fun!
