Swimming at Nana's

Ashlyn's first time in a pool, and she loves it!

Lorie invited Kendra, all three kids and me to come swim at her apartment complex's pool. After much snack fixing, sunscreen slathering, and float gathering, we walked (hiked!) over to the pool. If I'd realized how far it was, I would definitely have brought the stroller. Instead, I was lugging all the towels, snacks and floats, and trading off carrying Patrick with Lorie. Mother=Packmule, and then some!

This was Ashlyn's first trip to the pool, and I think Kendra was more nervous than she was. Ashlyn was relaxed, and loved watching my active little boys splash around. We had a good time, with the pool mostly to ourselves. It was a little chilly, so we relocated to the hot tub, which was pleasantly warm. Jackson had a scary moment, when he slipped off the ledge and went under, but he managed to hold his breath and not panic. I was so proud of him! It was a fun way to cool off. Thanks again, Lorie!
