A couple of the finished robots
Today, the 3/4's playgroup met at Northridge Park for a make-your-own-robot playdate. We had a lot of fun getting creative with odds and ends we found lying around the house. Each child had to bring his own cereal box to start with, then we pooled our craft resources: glue, feathers, old batteries, pipe cleaners, foil, etc. It was messy fun! The kids had a great time making their robots, then ran around and played on the playground. I love this park; it has lots of shade, big trees (not common here!), picnic tables, plenty of grass, plus playground structures, swings, and a sand/water area. Definitely something for everyone.
