End Of School Picnic

(L-R) Sophia, Jackson, me, Patrick, Katie, Sean and Kim having our picnic.

Jackson and Sophia (front); Katie, Kendall, Ms. Linda and Brendan (rear).

Brendan and his mother brought this great bouncy house for the kids to play in.

Patrick and Ms. Maria munch as they watch the big kids jump.

The last day of school. I can't believe it. This year has gone by so fast, and so much has happened. I started the year with a new baby, and now I have a toddler. Jackson started the year not much bigger than a toddler, and now he's a little boy! He has grown in leaps and bounds, both physically and developmentally. He knows how to count to thirteen, most of his letters, lots of new songs and stories, and has made some great friends. I am so proud of him!
We seem to have this loooong summer stretching out before us, but I know from my childhood summers it will fly by, too. Where does the time go? Sometimes the days seem interminably slow, and then I look around, and blink, they're gone. I think it's true that the older you get, the faster time flows. Or maybe you are just more aware of its passing. Either way, I am going to try to appreciate each moment.
