Who knew Santa played the trombone?!
A Brass concert in the atrium of M.D. Anderson was beautiful and enjoyable.
Jackson's first picture with Santa was a huge success! (Big plus--no line!)There were several holiday concerts at M.D. Anderson while we were there. It was so nice to have a little seasonal festivity as a break from the stress of a hospital setting. I thought it must be especially nice for those who weren't as fortunate as we were and would have to stay over the holiday. Jackson loved the music; you could hear it from the second floor, which was open to the atrium, and he would run to the escalator to see the instruments. Hard to pull him away from endless up/down trips on said escalator. Not much there for him to do for fun. Thank goodness for the childcare down the hall--he could only stay for 2 hours at a time, but it was a nice break with actual toys, and sometimes other children to play with.
