School picture

One of Jackson's teachers told me as I picked him up from school that I needed to submit a picture for the yearbook, and it was due in, oh, two days! I never wanted to be that 'Not Pictured' kid, and I sure didn't want Jackson to be one, either. I tried to find a good picture on my camera, then tried while we were at Mother and Dad's, but nothing doing. So, in a last-ditch effort, I got creative. While we were at Wal-Mart (every mother's blessing and nightmare), I found the fabric department, unrolled a bolt of blue fleece, and made a solid backdrop for the picture. Then the challenge was to get an actual smile from my little friend--easier said than done. As you can see, it took several shots to get something acceptable, but at least he'll be in the yearbook!
