Little Jackson with all the big kids.
Jackson and John--impossible to catch them standing still looking the same way!

Jackson had a really great time in the pickup truck waiting for the WCCA Homecoming parade to begin. There were mostly older kids, although John (in the red) was the same age. It was a true small-town parade, and many of the kids on the floats, including Emma, threw candy and treats directly to Jackson. He loved it! His favorite goody was a megaphone, and for the rest of the day (...night, week...) he would yell "Doe Wayams! (Go Rams)."
Poor WCCA. Their original Homecoming game was cancelled because their opponent couldn't field a team anymore. So they shuffled their schedule around and ended up playing a really hard team about 3 weeks later. I felt really badly for the Homecoming Court--most of the girls had sleeveless or short dresses and were freezing. At least the team held their own for the first half; they caved in the second but we didn't see it since we left at halftime. It was too cold (and late!) for Jackson to stay longer. Fun game, though. Jackson loved using his megaphone to help Emma and the cheerleaders rally the crowd.
