Painting on nose and freckles.
Panting like a dog, and showing his puppy paws.

Puppy dog cutie!
Getting ready for our friends' (the Fox-Smiths) party was so much fun! It was quite a change from last year--I could barely get Jackson to hold still for a brown lion nose, and this year he patiently waited for a brown nose and asked for puppy dog freckles! Everyone brought a covered dish (TONS of food!), and Magnolia, a unique Mississippi brewery's beer, was supplied, along with hot chocolate as it got dark. They had a hayride pulled by an old tractor, a small bonfire for toasting marshmallows or warming up, a pumpkin-carving contest, and plenty of room for kids and adults to have a great time. All the kids, and some of the adults dressed up, so everyone was feeling the Halloween spirit. Jackson ran around till the sun went down, then tried to hide under the trampoline so I couldn't take him home. He made a new friend, Alex Kirkland, who is two weeks older and the son of Mandy Netterville Kirkland, with whom I went to high school. They really had fun together playing on someone's flatbed trailer and tug o' war with a strap they found. All in all, it was a very fun afternoon.
