Wow.

I can just see the wheels turning in Jackson's mind. This morning at breakfast, he hugged Ella, "Hud Ella?" then tried to hug his cheese and English muffin, "Hud food?". I said we can hug dogs and people, but not food because it's not alive. I told him "You are a person and I am a person; we are people." He came back with, "Daddy a puhson; Ella a dohd (dog). Hud peepul and dohds, not food." He was so definite about it, and I was amazed at how quickly he made the leap applying person/people labels to Jason and dog to Ella.
