School? Thanks, but no thanks. Think I'll stay home.
Jackson started 'school' yesterday at WCCA Child Care. He was sooo excited about it, until it was time to actually GO. Jason and I think he needs more interaction with children his age, and less time with just me. Our playgroup has fallen off the map, and there aren't many children living near us, so this seems like the best option. Plus, it's one of the few places that lets you go part time without having to pay for full time. Jackson will be going on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 til 11:45. He eats lunch with the kids, and then I pick him up right before naptime. I had hoped he could stay through naptime (since it's such a battle!), but that means paying for the whole day, and it's much more expensive that way.
His first day went very well, from the teachers' reports, and Jackson was in a great mood when I picked him up. He even cheerfully helped pick up toys when I asked him to. As much as I love him, I am glad to get the break. Now, besides boring ol' housework, what to do with my time...?
