My friend Jen, the organizer of our moms group, set up a cute photo shoot for Valentine's Day. It was a crunch to get there after school and before naptime, but yummy snacks were a good enticement. The boys were really hard to wrangle, but we got a ton of pictures--the above were some of the best and funniest. Patrick kept trying to eat all the props, and Jackson would hop up to go play with Jen's son, Jacob. I wish I'd gotten a picture of our snack contribution; we tried out the boys' new cake pan that made miniature cars. The cake recipe was a deliciously rich pound cake, and instead of icing, we sprinkled powdered sugar over the tops like snow. They were a hit! I can't wait to try them with fancy icing.
