White Soldiers

When Jackson gets a cut, we talk about his 'white soldiers' (white blood cells) rushing to the bobo to fight off the germs. He was telling me yesterday about how he had a cut on his finger and the white soldiers ran up his arm and up his finger to fight the germs. Then, while he was asleep, they zipped up the cut and it was shiny like new skin, and now it's good as new.

Tonight, I was telling Jackson how Pappy was going to get a special shot of white soldiers tomorrow to help fight the cancer germs in his body. He asked, "Can we go to Weezyanna and go to the hospital where Pappy is and go in his room? And we can give him ALL our white soldiers in his body?" Then I explained that Pappy isn't in Weezyanna, he is far away in Maryland, at a special hospital that helps people with cancer. That made him think a little bit; then he said, "Could we visit him there?" I wish it were as simple as my son imagines.
