Jason and I were pleasantly surprised to be invited to Katie Miller's wedding to a fellow she met in New York. The Catholic ceremony was beautiful and the church was packed. The reception at the Millers' home south of town was fabulous, with an unbelievable amount of gourmet food, gorgeous flowers and lots of people. Unfortunately, the band was in a car accident on the way to the party, so only some of the members were able to play for the middle of the reception. Apparently, after Jason and I left, the rest of the band stepped up and the crowd partied on. Something I'd never seen at a reception: after the cake cutting, waiters circulated with trays of iced coffee and hot beignets--YUM! All in all, a really nice party.
