The only Mardi Gras picture I got--batteries died & the rechargeable ones were dead, too!

Actual game: LSU vs. Mississippi State

They were killing us for awhile, then we came back to (almost) win.

Daddy couldn't resist the cotton candy vendor, so we all enjoyed the sticky sweetness.

The Golden Band from Tigerland is always impressive.

We had a very full day. First, we met up with Nancy and Trey, then the Gahagans, to catch the Spanishtown Mardi Gras parade. Thank goodness the boys can't read yet--it was definitely not a family parade, even though it was during the day. Very political and very adult in most of the themes. Funny, but racy (at best). Then we went to the LSU basketball game vs. Mississippi State. We walked in just after halftime, but after the parade, that was enough gametime for Jackson. He had a great time cheering on the Tigers, who were losing by about 15. They rallied at the end, only to lose by 4 or so. Apparently typical this season, but we had fun anyway. Then we stopped at a bakery for a king cake to bring up to St. John's, oh, and one for our house, as well! Jackson crashed on the way home, and I sure wished I could have, too.
